This isn't exactly a request thread more like a show case to just get others opinions on my work to see how far along i've come in this field of graphic design. And I need the opinion of a free flowing public versus "old pros" like Egg and Cap.

Here are a few of my most recent signatures, Please give your honest judgment on these do not try to sugar coat it because I need to see were my mistakes are so that I can improve.

I dont see anything bad besides the top right of the ROB picture there is a glare. I think that are should remain the same as all the other areas. Oh and when you make really light signatures like your Lucario and Sonic, I think you should make the text more darker. It is a little hard to read especially when using a different font.

I see what your saying obi but I was trying to add somewhat of a light effect to make it look like light is shining in on rob instead of just red light all throughout the picture. Well give me your opinion on this new signature I just finished.

I like it. I like how the sword and Ike kinda blends in with the backround. The only thing is the headband. Ike's face seems really bright compared to it. The only thing is if you make it darker i dont think it would look right either :/ I guess its fine the way it is than.

Oh I also just noticed. On the Sonic one, When you wrote Super Sonic 2010 that should remain the same color.

And on the ROB one if you want to create a shining image then you should make the top right corner be the lightest like how you have it and then have it being more shaded while going diagonally to the left.

Nice sigs. You have improved greatly. Btw, when u making my Sonic/Super Sonic gif?

For a newer person at this, all of your sigs are very smooth looking, which is good compared to something choppy and hard to look at.

I think you may have overused the lines. Remember in the other thread where I said about something about to many things make your sig look cluttered? I like how you used lines instead of nothing, but try not to use so many. Mix in other things like smudging and you should be good to go!


The text in the sonic signature is slightly illegible, because it's almost the same color as the background. (Trust me, people can get cranky about things like this. >.>)

Overall, you are progressing very well. Good Job Mega K.

Yeah i'm still working on those brushes Eggdude haha I think I almost got the hang of it though i've been using the blur tool and lots of light effects to flash the render more then the background. I've also been trying to overall limit brush uses to the point that it doesn't leave the image to empty or to full of lines either.

Wow, for these to be your first few you seem to have -everything- down pretty nicely. They've all got a good sense of flow, and they're not monotone (like my first were xD). The only thing I can really tell you to work on is your text, and lighting. I'd suggest going to Dafont.com and just downloading as many cool looking fonts as possible. As for lighting...I'm writing a small tutorial on it right now, so I'll throw that at ya when it's finished. But other than that you've gotten a greatsense of flow, and the colors are really good!
