I just found out from my dad this morning that my grandma died on halloween night. She was 85 years old, and I will always remember her for all the good times we had when I was still in elementary school. My dad is sad about it too. He also has to call all his brothers and sisters and tell them the news.
My dad always told me good stories about her. I still remember one where my dad looked at the book "Mein Kampf" by Adolf Hitler in the library, and she told him to put the book down and she said "Hitler was a terrible man, and I don't want you reading that book!" My dad mentioned that that was the only time he, or anyone would hear her say anything bad about anybody.
She was a very good person, and she lived longer than most people would, which to me means that she had a great life and tried to live it to the fullest. I remember whenever I went over to visit with my parents, she always tried to put on a strong face just to say "Don't worry about me." But now she's in Heaven, and she's much happier there with grandpa, who died 18 years ago, in 1991. This is a very sad day for me, and I appreciate you guys reading this. I'm not sure when her funeral will be.
Once again, thanks for reading this.
